about

Guiput is the product of an evening spent experimenting with a combination of guitar and no-input mixing feedback. Injecting the guitar directly into the feedback loops and processing was a technical experiment that produced much of the swelling bass tones and textures.

An additional layer of Guiput's process is the amateur exploration of graphic notation and translating the visual composition to drastically different instruments.

As the night progressed, the connection between performers strengthen and the relationship between the instruments became inherently unified. The final product of the title track, Guiput, is the apex of this collaboration in improvisation and was live streamed to social media whilst recording.

This collection is best experienced through headphones or a 2.1 speaker system.
